Kanye West has opened up at a recent Sunday service in Miami about how the word ‘Jesus’ is left out of contracts, ensuring that God receives no glory in the highly influential music and entertainment world.
Right before the Superbowl, West held another of his Kanye’s Sunday Services in Miami.
“God is using us to show off, to show God is better than the devil,” West told the crowd.
“The devil took all the producers, the musicians, the designers. He moved us all out to Hollywood, moved us all out to New York. Chasing gold statues. Literally signing a contract and selling our souls. They got contracts out there that say, ‘you can’t say Jesus.’
“When we was working on this album, people used to be coming over to the studio to say ‘Jesus as loudly as they wanted to. You can say Jesus in our studio.”
The rapper has recently moved into Christian music and also started his Kanye’s Sunday Services event. “Jesus is King,” his first Gospel album, hit number one on both Billboard’s Top Christian Albums and Top Gospel Album charts.
