Kanye West has surprised students at Washington’s Howard University by bringing his Kanye’s Sunday Services to the university.
West, who earlier this year launched his own version of a church service, brought his service to Howard, which was attended by students, as well as local West fans.
Howard is one of the country’s most
prominent historically black universities.
West attended the event with his wife, Kim
Kardashian, and their three children. It is reported that during the
performance, he performed his 2014 hit “Jesus Walks” as well as
speaking to the crowd about concerns of African Americans and Christianity.
He told the crowd, “If you believe Jesus died for your sins – that’s the gospel Christians. We’re making it too hard for people.”
