Greg Laurie is the latest high profile Christian to positive for the coronavirus.

The senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in California recently attended the Rose Garden, where President Trump announced the Supreme Court nomination of Amy Coney Barrett.

It has since been reported that eleven people who attended the event have been diagnosed with the virus.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday,” Lauie said. “I have been in quarantine since then. My wife Cathe is also in quarantine with me. I am happy to report that all members of my family have tested negative for COVID.”

Laurie has also been joined by Texas megachurch pastor John Hagee, who has also tested positive for the virus, along with Donald and Melania Trump.

“I just wish that at a time like this we could not politicize something like this and show compassion to people that are struggling with this,” he said. “It’s real; it really is a pandemic that has swept our nation and even the world.

“If the President of the United States can get it ,obviously anyone can get it. I want to get out again, doing what I’m called to do, so thank you for your interest and concern.

“It’s important as Christians for us to be reminded that God’s in control of our lives. I don’t know why He allowed me to get it but I got it, and I know He’ll get me through it.”

Unlike fellow Californian pastor, John MacArthur, who is defying Los Angles County orders in opening his church, Laurie has encouraged people to stay at home.
