Christian singer Tori Kelly has tweeted Deuteronomy 31:8 while thanking fans for their prayers as she recovers from serious blood clots.

Kelly was rushed to hospital last Sunday night after she collapsed during a night out.

Kelly is reportedly being treated for blood clots in the ICU.

TMZ reported that the “Nobody Love” singer fainted after her heartbeat quickened while out with friends in downtown Los Angeles, with sources telling the outlet that she was “out for a while.”

According to the outlet, Kelly’s friends then transported her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment, where doctors found blood clots around her lungs and legs.

Now, slowly on the road to recovery, Kelly updated her fans of her condition, citing Deuteronomy 31:8: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

“Hi friends… as you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges,” the Grammy-winning singer shared via a handwritten note posted to Twitter Thursday.

“It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you. I’m feeling stronger now and hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover,” she continued. “I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who have been looking after me.”

On Wednesday, her husband Andre Murillo, said Tori was “smiling again and feeling stronger”.

“Not fully out of the woods yet, but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers,” he continued.

Since news of her health difficulties surfaced, there have been doubts surrounding the release of Kelly’s highly anticipated new EP, scheduled for this Friday. However, she has confirmed that the release will go ahead as planned.
